Betsafe LKL clubs delegate 14 players to national teams for World Cup Qualifiers
Betsafe LKL is going to be represented in numbers in the inaugural international window for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers, with seven of the clubs providing their players to four different national teams.
Lithuania head coach Dainius Adomaitis will be relying on eight Betsafe LKL players, with Latvia, Russia and Ukraine also receiving help from their Lithuania-based athletes.
Lietkabelis: Adas Juskevicius, Ksistof Lavrinovic and Vaidas Cepukaitis (Lithuania), Zanis Peiners (Latvia)
Neptunas: Renaldas Seibutis, Mindaugas Girdziunas and Arnas Butkevicius (Lithuania)
Pieno Zvaigzdes: Arturs Ausejs (Latvia), Nikita Balashov (Russia), Vyacheslav Bobrov (Ukraine)
Lietuvos Rytas: Rokas Giedraitis (Lithuania)
Siauliai: Laurynas Birutis (Lithuania)
Juventus: Maksym Korniienko (Ukraine)
Vytautas: Denys Lukashov (Ukraine)
All national teams will play twice in the first international window, with Lithuania taking on Kosovo on Thursday before hosting Poland in Klaipeda on Sunday.
Betsafe LKL action will return on November 29 with a rescheduled Gameday 5 fixture between Nevezis and Pieno Zvaigzdes.
