Petrauskas replaces Grigas as head coach in Pasvalys

Pieno Zvaigzdes and head coach Rimantas Grigas agreed to part ways by mutual agreement, with former Juventus playcaller Gediminas Petrauskas stepping in as his replacement.

"That is just how the situation evolved. We're thankful to coach Grigas for the work he put in at the start of the season and the results he was able to achieve," commented Arunas Burkevicius, the director of the club.

Nearly a third through the Betsafe LKL season, Pieno Zvaigzdes were in a respectable fifth place with a 5-7 record. After a strong start of the season, they had lost four games in a row before ending the drought with a 73-68 victory against Nevezis on Wednesday.

The incoming playcaller Petrauskas, a 32-year-old specialist, started the season in Utena, but resigned after getting off to a 0-7 start in the domestic championship with Juventus.
