Gaines crowned 'King of Air' in SIL-King Mindaugas Cup

Juventus guard Kenny Gaines claimed become the slam dunk contest champion in the SIL-King Mindaugas Cup after beating a field of four other high-flyers.

Having advancing from the preliminary stage with the best score, the American athlete claimed the crown after outdueling guest participant Domantas Vilys 144-137 in the final showdown, which consisted of three dunks.

The 18-year-old Vilys was the runner-up of the contest, finishing above the likes of Vyacheslav Bobrov of Pieno Zvaigzdes, LaRon Dendy of Juventus and Matas Jucikas of Neptunas.

As the winner of the slam dunk contest, Gaines received a prize of €1,500 and flights to any European destination with the Ukrainian International Airlines.
