Zalgiris flexes muscles against Juventus in the second half

A strong third quarter was all it took for Zalgiris to defeat Juventus 82-56 in their penultimate game of the Betsafe LKL Regular Season on Monday evening at Zalgirio Arena.

Having jumped out to a double-digit 56-40 lead following a 22-7 run in the third period, the Kaunas club cruised to an easy win in the second half and improved to a 31-4 record.

Vasilije Micic led the winners with a game-high 14 points, Beno Udrih scored 11 while Antanas Kavaliauskas added 10 points and 6 rebounds. 17-year-old Rokas Jokubaitis finished the game with 7 points and 4 assists.

For Juventus, Mindaugas Kupsas had 21 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks, while Dovis Bickauskis registered 11 points, 6 assists and 4 steals but also turned the ball over 8 times.

Zalgiris will play their last game of the Regular Season against the relegation-bound Vytautas on Wednesday, May 9. The Play-Offs are set to begin two days later.
