Seibutis wins it for Neptunas, evens series at 1-1

The score of the series is all even in the Betsafe LKL bronze-medal bout as well after Neptunas stole a 71-69 road victory against Lietkabelis in Panevezys to level things at 1-1 on Tuesday evening.

Renaldas Seibutis converted the game-winning basket in the last seconds of the contest to allow the visitors from Klaipeda to regain the home-court advantage in the best-of-five series.

The 33-year-old guard was the top scorer for Neptunas with 14 points, Edgaras Zelionis collected 12 points and 9 rebounds, while Brandon Fields added 11 points and 7 boards.

Mindaugas Kacinas and Tomas Delininkaitis chipped in with 10 points apiece for the winners.

Meanwhile, Donatas Tarolis exploded for a 26-point and 10-rebound double-double, but couldn't carry Lietkabelis to victory all on his own despite amassing an efficiency index of 40.

Simas Jasaitis had 14 points and 10 boards, as Zanis Peiners was the only other player in double figures with 10 points.

The next game of the series will be played in Klaipeda on Friday.
