Neptunas one win away from bronze

Neptunas have gained the upper hand in the Betsafe LKL bronze-medal series after defeating Lietkabelis 79-71 in Game 3 of the rivalry in Klaipeda on Thursday evening.

The home side built a double-digit advantage in the opening quarter of the game and continued to pad their lead until the fourth, when the visitors from Panevezys closed the gap somewhat.

Renaldas Seibutis led the way for Neptunas with 17 points and 6 rebounds, Brandon Fields collected 16 points, while Mindaugas Kacinas chipped in with 11 points.

For Lietkabelis, Ksistof Lavrinovic and Gintaras Leonavicius had 11 points apiece, while Lukas Aukstikalnis and Dominik Mavra added 10 points each.

Neptunas will have a chance to close out the series in Panevezys on Sunday.
