Zalgiris strike a deal with Wolters
Betsafe LKL champions Zalgiris continued their busy off-season with the signing of 27-year-old guard Nate Wolters, who was added on a one-year deal with an option to extend the cooperation for an extra season.
The 27-year-old player last played for Elan Chalon in France, but has plenty of NBA and EuroLeague experience under his belt.
"We were looking for a team player and that's exactly who Nate Wolters is," said head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius. "Nate is a good defender and has a good body for his position. He can both run plays for the team and be aggressive on the offensive end. He has already played in EuroLeague and knows the challenges that await him."
Zalgiris has been active on the summer market, completing deals for Thomas Walkup, Marius Grigonis and Martinas Geben, as well as extending a couple of key players in Edgaras Ulanovas and Antanas Kavaliauskas.
