Lukauskis headlines Betsafe LKL Team of the Week

Skycop Prienai veteran Mindaugas Lukauskis snatched up the Betsafe LKL Player of the Week honors after registering a record-breaking double-double in a win over Lietkabelis in the opening weekend of the new season.

The 39-year-old swingman filled the box score with 11 points and a career-high 11 assists, while also collecting 6 rebounds and 3 steals for a total efficiency ranking of 29 in a 93-78 victory.

The rebranded Prienai club also had a second player in the Team of the Week in Martynas Gecevicius, who chipped in with 15 points and 9 assists, as the Virginijus Seskus-coached side opened the campaign with a win.

Rounding out the Team of the Week alongside the Skycop duo were Rytas big men Evaldas Kairys and Dominique Sutton and Neptunas guard Lorenzo Williams.
