Dzukija top Pieno Zvaigzdes in Pasvalys; Nevezis register first win
A convincing performance on the road in Pasvalys saw Dzukija climb to 2-2 in the Betsafe LKL, while Nevezis edged out Siauliai for their first win of the season on Saturday.
The Andrej Urlep-coached Dzukija rolled to a 74-60 victory against Pieno Zvaigzdes, with Dominykas Domarkas leading the way with a game-high 16 points.
Paulius Danisevicius and Arturas Jomantas added 13 points apiece for the visitors, who held the hosts to 39% shooting from the floor while converting 51% of their own attempts.
Justin Watts was the only Pieno Zvaigzdes player in double figures with 14 points, while Emmanuel Omogbo and Karolis Peturkonis collected 8 points each.
The Pasvalys club dropped to 1-4 in the standings, which puts them tied with Nevezis for ninth place after the Kedainiai side scored a 78-71 triumph over the visiting Siauliai.
Aidas Einikis and Gabrielius Maldunas had 16 points apiece for the winners, Martynas Varnas collected 13 points, while Chauncy Collins finished with 11 points and 7 assists. Ignas Vaitkus was once again the top scorer for Siauliai with 19 points and 6 rebounds, as Benas Griciunas and Evaldas Saulys chipped in with 10 points apiece.
