Juventus eliminate Nevezis to reach King Mindaugas Cup Quarter-Finals
Juventus became the first team to reach the King Mindaugas Cup Quarter-Finals after eliminating Nevezis in the Second Round with a 78-71 victory in the second leg of the home-and-away tie.
The Zydrunas Urbonas-coached side had won the first fixture on the road by 21 points and had a relatively bump-free ride in Utena after getting ahead early at home as well.
Forward Aleksandr Zakharov returned to form for Juventus with a monstrous 20-point and 15-rebound double-double, while Martinas Geben and Gytis Radzevicius collected 13 points apiece.
Chauncey Collins was the top scorer for Nevezis with 17 points, Nikita Balashov added 15 points and 7 boards, as Jon-Christopher Fuller chipped in with 12 points.
