Vaitkus on fire as Siauliai down Dzukija

It did not take long for Siauliai to bounce back from their defeat to Nevezis earlier in the week, with the Ignas Vaitkus-led side inscribing an 87-76 win over the visiting Dzukija.

The in-form Siauliai forward flirted with a triple-double and finished the contest with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for a career-high efficiency mark of 34.

Karolis Lukosiunas and Kristupas Zemaitis chipped in with 14 and 12 points respectively for the home side, as coach Antanas Sireika's men improved to a 3-14 mark in the league table.

Meanwhile, Dominykas Domarkas paced Dzukija with team-highs of 19 points and 8 assists, Mindaugas Susinskas scored 18 points, while Paulius Petrilevicius had 15 points.

The defeat saw the Alytus club drop to 6-11, losing ground on mid-table rivals Pieno Zvaigzdes and Juventus.
