King Mindaugas cup started with LKL teams wins

Kings Mindaugas cup started on Tuesday and the first day of the tournament ended with all four Betsafe LKL teams wins.

In the first round of the cup eight LKL teams are facing eight teams from second Lithuanian division NKL. All of the pairs are competing in two games series and four of the pairs started their battle today.

On the first day CBet Prienai side had no trouble against Silute and ended up with a convincing 18 points victory 86:68.

The other teams had a lot more trouble fighting on the lower division team's ground. Pieno zvaigzdes Pasvalys only after the tough battle defeated Telsiai 68:63. This was the closest score ever when NKL team faced LKL team in King Mindaugas cup. 

Siauliai also had trouble in Palanga, where LKL side celebrated the victory 88:81. 

Sintek-Dzukija Alytus also struggled against NKL team and defeated Taurage only by eight points – 79:71.

Second leg matches will be played on 22nd of October in LKL teams' arenas.
