All tied in the Betsafe-LKL semifinals as Rytas and Zalgiris suffer Game 2 defeats

Rytas Vilnius kickstarted the Betsafe-LKL semifinals series against Siauliai-7bet with a 97-75 victory at home. Margiris Normantas posted 16 points, Lukas Uleckas added 14. Siauliai-7bet were paced behind a 20-point performance by Issuf Sanon.

However, Game 2 was a different story. Siauliai-7bet dominated most of the game and got a 84-72 win to tie the series at 1-1. Donatas Sabeckis led the scorers of the winning side with 17 points, while Isaiah Armwood had 15. Arnas Butkevičius scored 23 for Rytas.

Zalgiris Kaunas beat Lietkabelis Panevezys at home 71-70 to assume a 1-0 advantage in the Betsafe-LKL series. Tai Webster scored 14 points, Lukas Lekavičius added 11. Gediminas Orelik (19 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists) and Djordje Gagic (19 points) stood out from Lietkabelis.

After dropping Game 1, Lietkabelis built a solid lead early and held on to secure a convincing victory 79-55 in Game 2. Vytenis Lipkevičius dropped 18 points, Djordje Gagic added 15 points and 5 rebounds. Josh Nebo producing 16 points and 5 rebounds was not enough as Zalgiris suffered its biggest Betsafe-LKL defeat against Lietkabelis ever.
