Rytas falls at the hands of its own Tubelis, Wolves recover with a blowout win against 7bet-Lietkabelis

Wolves Vilnius had themselves a roller coaster kind-of week. The Wolves suffered a 68-81 loss in Jonava but after that they met with 7bet-Lietkabelis Panevėžys in Vilnius. In the crucial battle for the third place Wolves proved to be a far better team on that night. They stunned the opponents 109-72 and strenghtened their position in the standings.

Rytas Vilnius surprisingly lost the second game in a row. Neptūnas Klaipėda led for most of the game but in the end it was a toe-to-toe battle. Ąžuolas Tubelis, a Rytas owned talent who is on loan in Neptūnas, scored a gamewinning layup with 13 seconds to go. On the other end Justin Gorham missed his chance to take back the lead. This loss has ended an impressive one year stint without a defeat in the Jeep arena for Rytas in all competitions.

M Basket-Delamode Mažeikiai managed to overcome a 20-point deficit to capture a 94-91 win in Šiauliai. The away side was led by Alex Antetokounmpo with 23 points.

Zane Waterman's career night wasn't enough to defeat Uniclub Casino – Juventus Utena. However, Waterman's performance (35 pts, 9 reb, 46 eff) is the best individual night for any Betsafe-LKL player this season.
